The Director of Risk is responsible for all aspects of risk management, including claims/litigation management and safety/loss control programs. This position is responsible for identifying Company exposures to loss and implementing appropriate risk management techniques to reduce or eliminate the impact of such loss on the ability of the Company to perform at a desirable level. Responsibilities include: oversight of insurance programs; coordination with outside consultants and brokers; claims, litigation and safety/loss control coordination; risk analysis; development and implementation of safety training; and reporting. Reducing the company's total cost of risk is a major objective of this position. This position reports to the SVP Finance & Treasurer, who has significant background and experience in risk management.
