Join one of Battelle's most dynamic research teams! The Battelle Biomedical Research Center (BBRC), a research group in the National Security Global Business, specializes in the design and execution of research to develop medical countermeasures (vaccines, therapeutics) against highly toxic materials and pathogenic microorganisms for U.S. Government and non-government organizations. The BBRC is seeking a Vivo Technician for mouse assay work at the West Jefferson, OH campus for a Monday through Friday work week with occasional overtime; schedule may include holidays. The term of this position is approximately 1 year before movement to another BBRC program will be considered.


Position Responsibilities

Caring for, feeding and watering laboratory mice. This will include animal cage changes and cleaning.

Set up racks, deep clean animal rooms and facility cleaning.

Maintain accurate records to include mouse observations, daily room checks, data entry and data QC.

Attention to detail

Communicate effectively with researchers and technical staff with regard to specific mouse assays.

Assist on mouse assay work for dosing or vaccinated mice.


Intraperitoneal and Intramuscular dose mice on a routine basis.

Basic Qualifications

Selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship, for access to classified information


Minimum Qualifications

Ability to bend and stoop

Will require routine repetitive motion

Strong interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

Previous lab experience in animal facility.
Preference will be given to candidates who are certified at one of three AALAS levels and who holds a bachelor degree or associates degree; who demonstrates animal handling experience and techniques and good interpersonal communication skills
